NDT Trainee-Assistant Level I
General
Trainee/Level I, as defined by the Quality Control Council of The United States National NonDestructive Testing Agreement, Article 6, Job Classifications and as applicable to McNDT Pipeline, Ltd.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform various tasks as directed by assigned supervisor
Operational and radiation safety
Hygiene that may affect coworkers and their ability to perform work safely and efficiently
Follow company required safe work practices and procedures at all times
Observes safe operating procedures while working with and around industrial radioactive material and x-ray generating equipment
Maintaining a clean working environment including company equipment such as work vehicles, office spaces, and shop areas
Personal punctuality
Observe test procedures and product compliance to learn internal and industry specifications
Observe and learn the procedures required to perform work and to gain certification in various NDT methods
Observe and learn proper documentation process required for NDT
Follow company policies at all times
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and promote a positive customer service attitude internally and externally
Comply with all current and future company procedures and requirements
Authorities
Stop work in any unsafe working condition, or when a safety concern is foreseen and to immediately report all stop work actions to designated supervisor
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Current Industrial Radiographer Trainee card from Illinois or a state reciprocal to Illinois
Functionally move 75 or fewer pounds
Ascend and descend terrain with appropriate equipment according to company safety guidelines
Start class hours for NDT Level I within 90 days of hire
