As a WBENC-certified company, we specialize in NDT, equipment calibration, and AWS-certified welding inspections, supported by a highly skilled team committed to quality, reliability, and performance on every project.
Our Story
Family Founded
McNDT Pipeline, Ltd. was incorporated in the State of Illinois in September 1992 by Cindy McCain and Jim McCain. Drawing on Cindy’s experience in the aerospace industry, we built the company with a clear mission: to deliver high-quality nondestructive testing and inspection services to the oil and gas industry through mobile, on-site capabilities.
In our early years, both Cindy and Jim worked in the field as technicians, with Cindy leading as President and serving as our primary operations lead.
We started with just a couple of mobile rigs, operating out of the McCain family residence, where we built our reputation for precision and reliability in pipeline inspection and quality assurance.

Amanda Young
As Vice President, Amanda brings extensive operational experience, having served as a field technician and Operations Manager at McNDT since 2007.
1992-1994
Until 1994, operations were conducted from home; the growing demand for services prompted relocation to a small industrial facility that enabled further expansion.
1994-2019
Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, McNDT expanded its service capabilities and fleet capacity. The company experienced significant growth, increasing from its initial two rigs to a robust fleet.
2019–Today
In 2019, Cindy McCain transitioned the company to her daughter, Amanda Young, who became President. This leadership transition marked the beginning of a new chapter of strategic growth and service diversification.
